Baxter kept the books and his eye on the door of the hotel bar. Ambrose kept the secrets.
Bernard and Davita
Bernard Montjoy thought he was content working the bar at the Hotel Garamond. Afternoons shambled along at a leisurely pace, affording him time to practice his mixology. All in all, life was pretty simple; the tips were adequate; his needs were minimal. When Baxter and Ambrose hired Devita to be the new hostess, he really paid no mind. One summer morning a few days later, she walked into the room and turned his world right upside down. He saw her everywhere; and, he noted with great pleasure, she seemed to be keeping her eye on him as well.
